At last Greenwich has a modern, efficiently run convenience store that is open until late seven days a week. For that pack of cigarettes or tomorrow’s breakfast or a bottle of booze--when everywhere around is closed. And easier to pop into during the day for a soft drink or tin of soup than trekking round Gateways (along the road towards the station).
There’s a decent little deli counter at the rear of the little store--with Mediterranean offerings such as taramasalata, stuffed vine leaves and sausages--but then it’s run by the sons of Hussein at the Green Village restaurant a door or two away...
