Please note: the Greenwich Steakhouse has been resurrected as "La Cucina di Soteri"--run by Nick “the Greek”, as he is affectionately known in the parish. It is reborn as a "Mediterranean/pasta" house--but Nick assures us that his steaks are still available. The interior is painted yellow.

Obituary
The Greenwich Steakhouse graces the corner where King William Walk meets Nelson Road. There’s seating on the ground floor--and a sizeable below-ground eating area for parties or when things get really busy.

It’s got soft lighting, a semi-formal ambiance, a walk-through bar and a visible kitchen area. Black-tie waiters serve you a choice of starters with a distinct Mediterranenan flavour (such as taramasalata or hommous) followed by a choice of prime cuts of Angus beef or a selection à la carte, which is regularly updated--skate one fortnight, say, and sea-bass the next. There’s also a daily fixed lunch menu option (£4.50) from which you can order a roast, moules provençales or a vegetarian moussaka.
